    We offer weekly live virtual courses where you practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Our courses are connected to the English Certificate Program in most cases. You will learn alongside a small group of other students realtime and complete supplemental practice activities in-between classes.

    All students are regularly assessed to monitor their progress and establish learning goals. Assessments help you see where additional study and preparation is required. Assessment results are used to craft remediation plans to ensure long-term success.

  • Learning Materials

    All students receive full access to all learning materials, including the student workbook, textbook, presentations, videos, and supplemental resources. Course materials are housed in Google Classroom. Each student will receive a ProSpeak Email Account upon enrollment, which is needed to access the course materials in Google Classroom.

  • Office Hours

    All students have access to office hours for supplemental support and assistance to master difficult concepts. During office hours, we review assessment results and course progress to identify the next steps. Office hours are optional but highly encouraged.

What’s Included in Each Course?

Writing and Grammar

In the English courses, you will practice writing in every lesson, integrating grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and proper punctuation to develop clear and effective written communication.

Each lesson will include exercises such as sentence building, paragraph development, and structured writing.

Speaking and Listening

In the English courses, you will practice speaking and listening in every lesson, focusing on pronunciation, fluency, active listening, and comprehension.

Through group discussions, role-playing, presentations, and listening exercises, you will build confidence in expressing ideas clearly while improving your ability to understand and respond to others in real-world conversations.

Reading

In the English courses, you will practice reading in every lesson, with a focus on phonics, vocabulary development, comprehension, and critical thinking.

Activities will include decoding words using phonics strategies, reading a variety of texts, analyzing meaning, and discussing key ideas, all aimed at improving fluency and fostering a deeper understanding of written material.

  • Each class is 90 minutes.

  • Every class will focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing in the English language. The student textbook will guide the course while supplemental resources and supports are also reviewed with students to master concepts like new vocabulary and informal versus formal English.

  • English will be taught using pictures, audio, and videos. You do not need to speak English to participate in each lesson. Our first course (English 1A/1B) is instructed by a native Spanish speaker who will clarify and explain complex topics in Spanish to ensure full understanding.

  • You will access all course materials, including your textbook, workbook, supplemental assignments, and all other materials in Google Classroom. Once you are enrolled, you will receive login instructions.

  • Yes, you will have homework to ensure you can practice the skills you are learning during each class.

  • You can set up additional tutoring sessions with your course instructor.
